IPTV on PC Windows & Mac

Your computer is one of the best devices for watching IPTV. Several free software programs allow you to play your subscription in just a few clicks.

Option 1: VLC Media Player (Free & Simple)

VLC is the most popular media player in the world and it natively supports IPTV streams. No additional installation is necessary if you already have VLC.

Configuring VLC with an m3u link

  2. Open VLC and go to Media > Open Network Stream (Ctrl+N).
  3. Copy and paste your Essential IPTV m3u link into the URL field.
  4. Click "Play". The channel list will load automatically.
  5. Access the playlist via View > Playlist.

Option 2: Kodi (The Most Complete)

Kodi is a free and open-source media center that offers a full IPTV experience thanks to the PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on. Ideal for those who want a TV interface on their PC.

  1. Download Kodi from kodi.tv and install it.
  2. Go to Settings > Add-ons > My Add-ons.
  3. Enable PVR IPTV Simple Client.
  4. Configure it by entering the URL of your Essential IPTV m3u file.
  5. Restart Kodi and enjoy all your channels in the TV interface.

Option 3: IPTV Smarters (Windows only)

There is an IPTV Smarters version for Windows available on the Microsoft Store. It offers the same interface as on mobile, with Xtream Codes login and VOD support.

💡 Recommendation: For occasional use, VLC is perfect. For a more complete experience with TV guide and VOD, opt for Kodi or IPTV Smarters.
